At completion, participants will have gained an appreciation of the four common medicines used by the Indigenous Peoples across Turtle Island. Learn how to smudge; where, when, and why it deserves a place in your personal and professional experience. Lead your team in providing this significant component of cultural sensitivity, while exploring its historical, legal and current context in the workplace.

  • Indigenous Worldview & Philosophies

    Allow this course to invite you into a deeper understanding of Indigenous worldviews and philosophies. Inform your professional interactions, practise and workplace environment with a historical and contemporary framework that underpins the strengths and belief systems of the Peoples of Turtle Island. The Medicine Wheel Philosophy will instruct each participant on the connection between Indigenous identity, culture, personal and societal value systems as represented in the Circle of Life.

  • How to Ally with Indigenous Peoples

    As more and more of us confront the fact that the world is not equitable for all, it is crucial to understand allyship and reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples. In this powerful course, learn in a non-colonized way about The Doctrine of discovery, Terra Nullius, The Indian Act, Reservations, The Pass System, Treaties, Residential Schools, Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, and The Four Sacred Gifts for all Humanity. This course is, factual, and authentic using video and audio technology, offering a wholistic learning opportunity incorporating all four aspects of our being: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Emphasis will be placed on learning the history you didn't learn in the regular school system. This course includes a training manual called Everyday Acts of Reconciliation within ​The Medicine Wheel Framework.
